What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Collections Logistics Officer to join the Museum team as we progress our Strategy to 2030 and continue the development phase of a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported programme of investment at our Midlands site.
You will assist with object movement, hazard identification and the administration of these tasks, as we prepare our collections to move to a new publicly accessible storage facility.
Individual responsibilities will include being a forklift truck operator and a Radiation Protection Supervisor. Training for both of which can be provided.
This role will be based at our Stafford site and will work across all three Museum sites as required. Working elsewhere in the UK and abroad may be necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with object movement, hazard identification and administration.
- Operate forklift truck.
- Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor.
- Prepare collections for move to new public storage facility.
- Collaborate across museum sites.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in collections logistics.
- Valid forklift licence.
- Knowledge of radiation protection and supervision.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
