We’re working with one of the UK’s fastest-growing accident repair groups to recruit an experienced Production Manager for their busy Hudson (York)
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Production Manager or an ambitious Senior Paint Technician, MET Technician, Panel Beater or VDA who’s ready to move into a leadership position. If you’ve got the technical knowledge, leadership qualities and drive to manage a high-performing workshop, we’d love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of a modern, high volume accident repair centre, ensuring repairs are delivered safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
Working closely with the Bodyshop Manager, you’ll oversee workshop productivity, quality, technician performance and repair progress while helping develop and motivate the team.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the daily workflow of the Bodyshop
- Support and deputise for the Bodyshop Manager when required
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer and customer quality standards
- Provide technical support across structural, mechanical and cosmetic repairs
- Monitor productivity, efficiency and repair progress
- Review job packs and assist with parts ordering
- Mentor technicians and develop team performance
- Maintain excellent health & safety standards
- Ensure customer deadlines are consistently achieved
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have experience in any of the following:
- Production Manager
- Assistant Bodyshop Manager
- Workshop Controller
- Senior Paint Technician
- Senior MET Technician
- Senior Panel Beater
- Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA)
You’ll also need
- Strong Bodyshop and accident repair knowledge
- Leadership or supervisory experience (or clear leadership potential)
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Full UK Driving Licence
