Role Overview
The purpose of the role is to help maintain the production output of the company through the safe movement of stock using forklift trucks. Whilst continuing to learn skills associated with the role to maintain outputs and meet targets, whilst being fully compliant to all corporate and legislative standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and facilitate the movement of completed consignments to the correct area within the business.
- Carry out picking orders following information given, taking product from varying locations in a timely manner.
- Ensure all products are correctly identified with the correct information and palletised safely as required.
- Provide a safe and timely service for the offloading and loading of a variety of vehicles.
- Be competent in carrying out manual handling tasks within the workplace.
- Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all waste products are separated into their designated containers for safe disposal.
- Have excellent time‑keeping skills and be able to meet production requirements.
- Comply with company and statutory Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and other policies, and procedures.
- Assist in identifying areas of improvement within your area, promoting continuous improvement activities, to help eliminate waste and improve safety, engagement & efficiency.
Skills & Requirements
- Valid forklift truck licences on reach (D1 and D2), counterbalance, and pedestrian operated vehicles.
- A positive work ethic and enthusiastic approach to activities undertaken.
- Willing to learn new skills.
- Works well as part of a team, and on their own initiative to achieve company goals.
- Good communication skills.
Working Hours & Benefits
