About the role
In the light of the introduction of the Renters Rights Act 2025 the role will be instrumental in leading the Council’s approach to meeting the requirements of the new legislation. The role will initially involve leading a small team working with other relevant services and organisations and will be fundamental in driving forward this significant legal change, ensuring that the legislation is implemented in a legally focused and intelligence‑driven manner. The responsibilities of the role will evolve in line with the implementation of different aspects of the legislation.
About you
HHSRS trained with a minimum of three years experience in complex housing enforcement, you will be a self‑motivated housing enforcement professional. You are able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and targets while producing work to a high standard, and you can motivate and train officers to ensure that targets are met through the most appropriate action.
