The John Taylor SCITT wishes to appoint a Primary Programme Leader for a fixed‑term maternity cover to continue delivering excellent outcomes for our 5‑11 cohorts of trainee teachers. The role involves working across a wide variety of local schools, engaging with school leaders, mentors and other colleagues to ensure the best possible progress for our trainee teachers and enabling them to enter the teaching profession as exceptional classroom practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outcomes for the 5‑11 trainee teacher cohorts during the maternity cover period.
- Engage with school leaders, mentors and fellow colleagues across local schools.
- Ensure trainees progress to enter the teaching profession as exceptional classroom practitioners.
- Work under the guidance of the wider SCITT leadership team, including the SCITT Director and Primary 3‑7 Programme Lead.
