- Carry out installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance ofmarine electrical, control, and automation systemsonboard ships and offshore vessels.
- Maintain and repairPLC systems, automation controls, sensors, actuators, and instrumentationused in marine applications.
- Perform fault diagnosis and rectification onpower distribution systems, generators, switchboards, motors, VFDs, and UPS systems.
- Ensure proper operation ofnavigation, communication, alarm, and monitoring systemsin compliance with marine standards.
- Execute planned maintenance and emergency repairs duringdry dock, afloat repairs, and voyage support.
- Interpretelectrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control logic, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all electrical and automation work complies withClass rules, Flag State regulations, SOLAS, and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with ship staff, superintendents, vendors, and shipyards to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Conduct testing, calibration, and commissioning of automation and control systems after repair or modification.
- Prepareservice reports, test records, and technical documentationupon completion of jobs.
- Adhere strictly toHSE requirements, toolbox talks, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and safe working practices.
- Support audits, inspections, and class surveys related to electrical and automation systems.
