Interim Procurement Delivery Partner

Location: Kent

Contract: 3–6 month interim assignment

Rate: c. £25.32 – £31.65 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay (PAYE, inside IR35)

This interim opportunity is being led by the recruitment specialist MRG on behalf of a respected housing organisation operating across Kent.

The Role

We are supporting the appointment of an experienced Procurement Delivery Partner to provide hands‑on procurement expertise across a range of business areas during a busy delivery period. Working closely with senior stakeholders, this role will play a key part in ensuring compliant, value‑for‑money procurement that supports service delivery and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the procurement lead for specified business areas, managing end‑to‑end tender processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to plan and deliver procurements aligned to business needs and strategy
  • Ensure all procurement activity complies with public procurement legislation and internal governance requirements
  • Lead the development of specifications, evaluation methodologies, contractual arrangements and KPIs
  • Manage tender administration, contract awards, publication requirements and maintenance of the contracts register
  • Undertake supplier reviews, benchmarking, spend analysis and service assessments to drive best value
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice across the organisation
  • Support social value outcomes through creative procurement approaches
  • Contribute to procurement policy, tools, training and continuous improvement activity
  • Deputise for senior procurement colleagues where required

About You

  • Proven experience delivering public sector or housing procurement, ideally within a regulated environment
  • Strong working knowledge of public contract regulations, contract law and contract management
  • Experience of leading competitive procurement exercises and supporting supplier negotiations
  • CIPS qualified (Level 4 minimum) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

Assignment Details

  • 3–6 month interim role
  • PAYE engagement, inside IR35
  • Hourly rate: c. £25.32 – £31.65 plus 12.07% holiday pay
  • Kent‑based role (hybrid working likely, depending on service needs)
