Key Responsibilities

  • Support children aged 4–11 years across the primary school phase.
  • Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Provide support for pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to improve attainment and pupil progress.
  • Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support educational success.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and active participation in learning.

Requirements

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Strong understanding of classroom support and intervention delivery.
  • A patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, term time only.
