Overview
West Sussex Mind is looking for an organised, proactive administrator to join our welcoming Fundraising and Communications team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will have the chance to make a genuine difference in your local community while building experience across fundraising, communications, and supporter engagement. You will act as a main contact for community fundraisers raising vital income for the charity, and you will support the communications lead with a range of communications tasks. The post reports to the fundraising and communications manager. There is plenty of scope in this role to develop your writing and digital content creation skills, work with a variety of tools, and contribute ideas to shape our fundraising and communications activity. As part of a small team in a small organisation, you will also need to feel comfortable taking initiative, leading on projects, and supporting day‑to‑day fundraising and communications work.
Responsibilities
You will support community fundraisers by acting as their main point of contact, manage and coordinate fundraising activities, assist with the creation and distribution of digital content, and provide regular communication updates. You will also contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising and communication campaigns, lead on projects as required, and provide general administrative support to the team.
Working Hours and Travel
This role may require working early mornings, weekends, and evenings. Time is given back following company policy. You must be able to travel across West Sussex.
Qualifications
Eligibility to work in the UK must be demonstrated. This post is subject to a Basic DBS check.
