Role Purpose
The Strategic Planning Administrator supports the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of corporate and strategic planning activities across the organisation. The post holder assists with organisational performance reporting, transformation initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and the provision of high-quality administrative and project support.
The role operates within a fast-paced environment requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, sound judgement, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, review, and continuous improvement of corporate and strategic plans.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting organisational performance against strategic objectives and priorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement programmes and organisational transformation initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, briefing papers, business cases, and other documentation for senior management.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including public sector and partner organisations.
- Support the management and coordination of strategic and operational information.
- Assist with resource planning and workload management within the designated area of responsibility.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and effective administration of planning and performance information systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and development of corporate planning processes from initial drafting through consultation and final approval stages.
- Support the collection, analysis, and presentation of performance data to inform organisational decision-making.
- Contribute to the delivery of continuous improvement and organisational development projects.
- Research, compile, and present information in written, verbal, and presentation formats for senior audiences.
- Organise and prioritise workloads to ensure objectives and deadlines are met.
- Develop and implement effective administrative processes and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and information management systems.
- Provide support and cover for senior team members as required.
- Promote organisational policies and procedures, including equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Undertake relevant training and professional development activities.
- Carry out additional duties commensurate with the level of the post as required.
