The purpose of this role is to contribute to the efficiency of the department (22-person team) by ensuring that the required quantity of work tasks is completed to plan, in a timely manner, to a high standard and in the correct priority and to suggest and implement improvements. To carry out reactive maintenance, PPM, completion of worklist jobs, project work and site service/utility works across the site and to ensure that equipment is functioning as a priority service to production. To lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety and Integrity.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (Weekend and Nightshift cover-flexible to department rota)
What you will do:
- Reactive maintenance tasks (breakdowns, machine set up etc).
- Planned preventative maintenance jobs (550 items to yearly plan).
- General worklist jobs.
- Work on engineering projects (major CAPEX and smaller types).
- Monitor/work on site services/utilities.
- Completion of work records for above tasks.
- To work in a safe and responsible manner in compliance with company Food Safety and H&S policies and procedures.
- To be/become knowledgeable in all aspects of factory equipment.
