A growing organisation near Swansea is looking for a Data Analyst to support business reporting, data insights and operational decision-making.

This role would suit someone who is highly comfortable working with Excel-based datasets, enjoys problem solving and is keen to develop their skills in modern data tools such as SQL and Power BI.

The Role

You will work with internal stakeholders to analyse data, build reports and improve visibility of key business metrics. The position involves working with structured data, identifying trends and helping teams make better data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse operational and business datasets to identify trends and insights
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Excel
• Support data extraction and manipulation from internal systems
• Assist with improving data quality, structure and reporting processes
• Work with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements
• Support the development of reporting capabilities using SQL and Power BI where appropriate

Requirements

Essential

• Strong Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation, reporting)
• Experience analysing datasets and producing business reports
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience with SQL for querying datasets
• Exposure to Power BI or other visualisation tools
• Understanding of data structures or relational databases
