We are looking for a Retail Operations and Performance Manager to lead operational excellence and continuous improvement across our retail estate. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring our stores operate efficiently, commercially, and consistently, enabling our teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maximising sales, productivity, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Own the weekly and monthly performance reporting, analysing product and commercial data to identify trends, opportunities and risks, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations for field teams and stores.
- Lead initiatives to simplify and improve store processes, identifying inefficiencies across stores and driving improvements across the estate.
- Oversee stock loss reduction initiatives and operational controls.
- Lead the rollout of new ways of working across stores, ensuring teams are engaged, change is clear, prioritised and embedded effectively.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess operations, identify opportunities and work in partnership with the field retail team to support and challenge them to drive execution and results.
- Lead, coach and develop the Retail Operations team, setting clear priorities, direction and performance standards while building capability, accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with head office functions to support operational plans, acting as a link between head office and stores.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills at all levels – written and verbal.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and managerial skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements and implement change across stores.
- Experience simplifying processes and improving ways of working.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- Comfortable visiting stores regularly and identifying opportunities first hand.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to business requirements.
- Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude to achieve goals.
- Experience in multi-site retail operations or field leadership.
- Experience leading operational change.
- Understanding of stock loss prevention and operational compliance.
- Exposure to retail training.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
