About the role
The Assessment Records team is recruiting for an Assessment Records Officer to join us on a fixed-term basis to support with key elements of the academic lifecycle related to the assessment, progression and award of all students. Working within regulatory frameworks and alongside senior colleagues, you’ll provide expert operational support to academic departments, students and alumni, and play a key role in the full end-to-end academic lifecycle.
You will lead on core business-as-usual processes including the management of milestones and exam entry for research students, additional and alternative exam arrangements, and supporting degree award documentation production and dispatch processes, ensuring data quality is maintained and regulatory frameworks adhered to.
You will be supported by colleagues and senior staff to ensure you have the right knowledge and tools to carry out your role effectively.
What you would be doing
In this role, you’ll take ownership of student data, managing and updating large datasets to ensure records remain accurate, consistent and complete throughout the academic cycle. You will ensure that records are updated in a timely manner to ensure processes can run smoothly and without delay, and act as a key contact for departmental staff, supporting and advising on a wide range of processes and queries.
You will support processes related to document production such as quarterly certificate production cycles, management of requests for replacement award documentation, and queries relating to award document production.
You’ll work closely with staff and students, filling data gaps and offering clear, reliable guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Alongside business-as-usual tasks, you’ll be part of wider process improvement works that shapes the student experience.
Collaboration across teams, supporting peak workloads and developing your skills, particularly in data tools like Excel and Power BI, will be key parts of your role.
