Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Roundhouse. If you’re motivated, ready to learn new skills and be a role model we’d love to hear from you!

Role Summary

You’ll be providing a range of support services both in and outside of the classroom to students who have a specific inclusion and support need, enabling them to achieve and progress. Our students are at the heart of our person‑centred approach, and we support all 120+ learning support staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge.

Roundhouse LSA’s can expect to support students in class across a broad range of curriculum areas including hair and beauty, travel and tourism, business, engineering, building services/built environment and motor vehicle studies, taught in the newly built Institute of Technology and many more.

Qualifications

We value the ability to build good working relationships, foster confidence, and have a ‘can do’ attitude. Practical problem solving, initiative, and dedication to supporting students across the curriculum are essential. Applicants must hold at least a Grade C/4 in both Level 2/GCSE Maths and English and be able to provide evidence of this qualification.
