Lead Equipment Engineer

Lead Equipment Engineer urgently required for a global leading Semiconductor Manufacturing company. The role is based in Oldham, Manchester and involves a rotating day and night shift pattern (4 on / 4 off 12‑hour shifts) within a cleanroom environment. Candidates must be clean shaven to use the required breathing apparatus.

As the Lead Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance resources align with production priorities on a daily basis to achieve manufacturing metrics. You will blend technical expertise with leadership skills to develop and coach the engineering and technician team.

Qualifications

• Team leadership experience, including management, coaching or development of engineers or technicians.
• Previous experience working with capital equipment in a fast‑paced environment.
• Technical background across Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
• Minimum education HNC/HND level in a relevant engineering discipline.
