OT Security Practice Lead
Overview
A well-backed, fast-scaling cyber security services firm is handing one leader the pen to build and own its OT security practice as a genuine P&L. This is not a role inside someone else’s structure — it’s yours to define, grow, and commercialise.
The Opportunity
Most OT leadership roles are delivery roles wearing a strategy title. You inherit real delivery muscle — consulting, managed services, a security operations capability, incident response, engineering, and vulnerability management, already operating across critical national infrastructure clients — and you’re asked to turn that platform into a market-leading, profitable practice with your name on it.
If you’ve spent years building revenue and reputation inside a larger consultancy but never held the pen on strategy, pricing, and P&L, this is the step up:
- Own the P&L. Revenue, margin, growth, and the commercial model are yours to set and answer for.
- Set the strategy. Service design, go-to-market, pricing, and where the practice chooses to play.
- Be the external face. Industry stages, publications, partner platforms, and board-level client relationships — you carry the firm’s OT proposition to market.
- Build the team around you. Structure, capability frameworks, career paths, and the next generation of OT leaders.
- Shape the IP. The methodologies, frameworks, and tooling that make the practice distinctive rather than interchangeable.
Who We’re Looking For
You’re a commercially-minded OT security leader — most likely in consulting or advisory today — who has built practices, business units, or service lines and now wants ownership of the whole thing.
You hold a boardroom and an engineering floor with equal credibility. You know the frameworks that matter (IEC 62443, NIS Regulations, NCSC CAF, NIST CSF) and the technologies underpinning OT monitoring, asset discovery, segmentation, and detection — but you lead through others rather than staying hands-on.
Recognised certification (GICSP, GRID, CISSP, CISM, IEC 62443 or equivalent) and a real network across the OT / CNI community are expected.
If you want to understand the platform, the backing, and the mandate before deciding whether it’s right for you, reach out for a discreet conversation — no CV required to start.
