Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible supply and long-term opportunities across Chesterfield primary schools?
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream primary settings across Chesterfield.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Work on a 1:1 basis with individual pupils or support small intervention groups, helping children to access learning and reach their full potential.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential.
- Experience within a primary school setting is highly desirable.
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Team Teach training would be an advantage, but is not essential.
- No specific qualification is required – experience and the right attitude are more important.
