Let’s be completely honest. Running a bustling pub is tough enough. Adding high-volume meetings and events into the mix takes serious stamina. We are looking for a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager who can seamlessly switch gears from pouring the perfect pint in the Pub & Grill to executing a flawless 300‑person gala dinner. Your focus is to support the F&B Operations Manager, driving consistent standards, protecting our profit performance, and obsessing over the guest experience across all our food and beverage spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Floor Leadership: Create intensity around service that drives the performance of the team, whether they are working a busy Friday night in the Pub & Grill or a complex corporate event.
  • Commercial Control: Review wage costs to ensure staffing levels are spot on, maintain accurate stock par levels, and ensure best practice for voids, refunds, and health and safety compliance.
  • Local Marketing: Act as our social media champion with a robust calendar of activity, support outreach plans, and help us achieve a top 10 TripAdvisor ranking in the local area.
  • Product Passion: Conduct tastings, run daily briefings to test the team on menu and drinks knowledge, and ensure everyone knows exactly which products deliver the best GP.

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in food and beverage.
  • Strong floor leadership skills and ability to handle simultaneous high‑volume meetings and pub service.
  • Commercial awareness to meet budgeted revenue, beverage gross profit, and payroll targets.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to mentor F&B team members.
