The Role
We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to join the Central Sourcing team on a permanent, largely remote basis. You’ll play a key role in delivering the company’s sourcing strategy, building relationships with global suppliers and developing deep expertise across comparator products and pharmaceutical markets.
This role is ideal for someone with direct comparator sourcing experience who is looking to take ownership of a commercially significant function within a high-performing, fast-growing team.
What Will the Role Entail?
- Working with senior leadership to understand and implement the central sourcing strategy
- Developing a deep understanding of key comparator products, their therapy areas and the supply channels available to access them
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key wholesalers and manufacturers globally
- Performing gap analysis on the supplier network and identifying new suppliers where required
- Managing and owning the ordering process with suppliers and account management teams, ensuring timelines, specifications and quality standards are met
- Negotiating supplier discounts and initiatives to maximise margin on sourcing transactions
- Identifying upcoming supply chain bottlenecks and developing solutions proactively to limit disruption to clients
- Feeding into the quoting and proposals process, supporting account management teams with bid defences
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with GDP, applicable SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Monitoring key sourcing metrics and achieving agreed KPIs
- Building strong relationships with internal teams across account management, finance, quality and logistics
What Will You Need to Succeed?
- Comparator sourcing experience is essential
- Experience in clinical trial supply is highly desirable
- Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of global pharmaceutical supply chains and GDP compliance
- Commercially driven with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Degree level education or equivalent preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
