About the Role

As a Junior Maintenance Technician, you will work alongside experienced team members to help

– Help complete logbooks, forms, and electronic records.

– Assist with the induction and supervision of external contractors.

– Good problem solving instincts and a willingness to learn from experienced

colleagues.

– Confidence using hand tools (or a desire to learn).

– Able to carry out manual handling, such as moving equipment or furniture.

– Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful approach with colleagues and

contractors.

– Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained.

– Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

– A full driving license (or working toward one).

Desirable (but not required — full training given):

– Any experience helping with DIY, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building tasks.

– Experience in a facilities or maintenance environment.

– Basic understanding of planned preventative maintenance.

– Knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, or permits to work.

– Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook especially).

– Experience in a lab or scientific workplace.

– Full clean driving license
