Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for new opportunities in Birmingham? Winner Education are seeking a SEN Primary Teacher for a Special Needs school based in South Birmingham. This role will start from September on a long-term placement and will be full time. The successful applicant will carry out class teacher responsibilities, maintain general classroom support as well as 1:1 intervention support for SEN children. You will preferably hold QTS Status.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct class teacher responsibilities
- Support primary aged pupils
- Lead lesson planning and preparation based on individual learner requirements
- Lead and work alongside TAs supporting group of learners
- Provide personal care if and when required
- Provide regular learner assessments and progress reports
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
The successful SEN Teacher will have
- QTS status
- Previous PMLD experience
- Previous experience working primary aged SEN children
- Good knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum, in particular the primary level
- Strong resilience and patience
- Previous experience working with children with Autism and challenging behaviours
- Previous experience in lesson planning
