Cross Site Role, based across Royal Free, Barnet Hospital & Chase Farm Hospital
An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a crucial role in ensuring cancer care is delivered efficiently and excellently across the Royal Free, Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, within the Royal Free London Hospitals Group (RFL).
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the MDT management of cancer patients for specific tumour sites, including preparation, coordination, documentation, and follow‑up of administrative actions from the MDT meetings.
- Support the Cancer Management team and the MDT meetings by implementing administrative improvements to facilitate the management plan for patients discussed at the MDT.
- Manage the collation and monitoring of all cancer patients’ pathways for submission to the National Cancer Waiting Times database, ensuring all appropriate actions are taken to meet National Cancer Waiting Times Targets.
- Manage the collation and monitoring for the Cancer Outcome Services Dataset (COSD), including staging information, for submission to the National Cancer Registry Services (NCRS) for specific cancer patients diagnosed at The Royal Free London Foundation NHS Trust.
- Initiate the collection and analysis of audit data to assess service development needs, drive service improvement processes, and develop action plans ensuring appropriate outcomes are implemented.
- Assist in reviewing relevant cancer waiting lists, expediting patient delays, and escalating issues as necessary.

Education & Professional Qualifications
- Understanding of the concept of the Multi‑Disciplinary Team.
- Touch Typing proficiency.
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- AMPSAR Medical Terminology Certificate, or working towards a Certificate.
Experience
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and/or specialty.
- Familiarity with using a Cancer database system.
- Understanding of national NHS policy and targets.
- Proof of continuous learning and development.
- Experience of a patient administration system.
- In‑depth knowledge of Cancer Waiting Times.
Skills and Aptitudes

- Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills.
- Excellent computer literacy skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and other systems.

£38,488 to £46,852 a year inclusive of HCAS.
