Responsibilities
- Pick up patients and transport them to appointments and therapy groups, ensuring punctuality.
- Assist patients into and out of the volunteer’s car.
- Report any accidents or untoward incidents to the Voluntary Services Manager immediately.
- Attend support and supervision sessions (minimum one session every three months).
- Commit to regular volunteer hours and be available for training as required.
- Work within Oxleas policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and attend relevant statutory training.
- Act in line with the Equal Opportunities policy, promoting a positive image of mental ill health and respecting the dignity and rights of individuals.
- Respect Data Protection requirements.
Qualifications
- Live within a five‑mile radius of SE18.
- Commit to a minimum six‑month volunteer period.
Benefits
- Reimbursement for travel within the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, and Greenwich (provide original receipts if using public transport).
- Claim for lunch or other subsistence costs (maximum £5 per day) if volunteering exceeds four hours a day.
