About Our Food & Beverage Assistant Role

IKEA Oxford Street are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our hardworking team. Step into IKEA, where great food meets great customer service! As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you’ll bring a taste of Sweden to London — serving delicious dishes and creating a welcoming environment for customers, with food safety at the heart of the operation.

  • 30 hours per week, working 5 days per week including evenings and working 3 in 4 weekends.

What You’ll Need to Have

  • While previous food and customer service experience can be beneficial, we are open to candidates who demonstrate a readiness to be actively involved in the work.
  • Ability to work in an extremely fast‑paced environment.
  • Be self‑reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
  • Ability to remain organised and detail‑oriented, even when things get busy.
  • Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older.

What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day

  • The role will involve a variety of tasks, where you will be required to serve food, take payment at tills, clean and clear the restaurant and work behind the scenes to prepare food.
  • Customer focused, by working together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co‑workers.
  • Support your colleagues, lend a hand, and create a positive work environment, contributing to a proud team.
