We are lookingto recruit to the post of PA/Administrator, to work within our Primary CareNetwork (PCN)

Main duties of the job

This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with a committed team to provide additional administrative support to the PCN Leadership team.

The candidate will need a flexible approach to change and be instrumental in the delivery of the PCNs aims for patient centred care.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication and organisational skills and a high level of IT literacy.

Bradford City Primary Care Network 4 (PCN4) is anetwork of Bradford City Practices working collaboratively across the networkarea to look after the health of our local population. The PCN which comprisesof 5 local Practices with a total population of around 48,000 registeredpatients.

Job responsibilities

Supporting Operations and Business Manager andClinical Director with administrative tasks and diary management

Arrange meetings, take minutes and ensure agendaand papers are circulated prior to meetings

Proactively manage the action log and ensure thatassigned actions are being completed

Prioritise and be responsible for own workload, toensure all deadlines for correspondence, production of reports, and agendaitems are met within the required timescales

Work with Practice Managers across the Primary CareNetwork

Attend staff meetings

Process invoices and raise invoices.

Support recruitment of staff, arrange interviewsand draft offer letters

Plan and implement induction packages for newstarters and on-going reviews

Ensure references for new starters are in placebefore start date

Ensure practice HR policies are followed andaccurate records are kept

Maintain annual leave, sickness and time off inlieu records

Undertake any other additional duties appropriateto the post as requested by the Operations & Business Manager or ClinicianDirector and Partners

Prioritise communications ensuring urgent mattersare addressed by appropriate colleagues in a timely manner whilst takingresponsibility for dealing with these personally in a professional manner.

The ideal candidate will be able to work part-time hours; 18-25 hours per week to be agreed.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above)

Experience

  • Experience of Administrative duties
  • Strong IT Skills
  • Minute taking
  • Proficient in the day-to-day use Outlook, Word, Excel and other MS packages
