Requirements

• Hands‑on expertise building and validating statistical and machine learning models, including clustering, regression, and predictive analytics.
• Strong data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation skills.
• Working knowledge of data governance and responsible AI expectations, including privacy, bias awareness, and reproducibility.
• Ability to take problems from framing through to deployment‑ready outputs.
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience ideally within demand‑led public services, including predictive demand, prevention, and triage/segmentation.

We are hiring a Data Scientist for a London‑based hybrid role, with three days per week in the office and additional attendance on demand for important meetings. This is an initial 3‑month contract with possible extension, offered inside IR35 at £375 per day. The role focuses on using data and AI to improve outcomes and productivity in a demand‑led public services context.
