Role Description
The Business Development and Growth Manager is a full-time on-site role based in Gateshead. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new commercial and domestic roofing opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and developing strategic partnerships to expand the company’s market presence. Day-to-day tasks include researching and qualifying leads, preparing and presenting proposals, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure accurate pricing and delivery. The role also involves monitoring market trends, contributing to marketing initiatives, tracking performance metrics, and providing regular reports on business growth and revenue targets.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated business development and sales experience, ideally within construction, roofing, or related sectors.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify growth opportunities.
- Experience with basic marketing activities, such as supporting campaigns and promoting services to new and existing clients.
- Solid organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including preparing proposals and delivering presentations.
- Comfortable working on-site and collaborating closely with operational and technical teams.
- Proficiency with standard office software and CRM tools for tracking leads and reporting.
- Relevant experience in construction or roofing environments is highly beneficial.
- Vocational or academic qualifications in business, sales, or a related field are an advantage but not essential.
