Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our busy manufacturing operation. You’ll play a key role in keeping our production lines running efficiently — from planned preventative maintenance to reactive fault-finding — while supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules to maximise machine uptime.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
• Maintaining and updating SOPs, while completing accurate maintenance documentation.
• Supporting the installation of new equipment and assisting with machinery setup.
• Contributing to continuous improvement projects across the plant.
• Providing cover and hands‑on support to machine setters when required.
• Managing spare parts availability in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
• Coaching and mentoring team members as requested.
• Upholding housekeeping standards and adhering to all Health & Safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Time‑served engineer with a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ electrical maintenance experience within any manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of site electrical distribution systems.
• Hands‑on experience with PLCs, fault‑finding, 3‑phase and DC motors, relays, contactors, sensors, and drives.
• Computer literate with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a proactive and positive approach.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
