Salary: £80,000 per annum + performance bonus
Requirements
- Significant senior leadership experience across Social Care sector
- Demonstrable experience supporting the growth of social care portfolios through operational improvement, acquisitions or business expansion.
- Strong understanding of finance, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and commercial performance.
- Experience operating at Executive or Board level, influencing strategic decision-making.
The Role
Compass Associates is partnering with an established and growing Elderly Care provider to find an experienced Commercial & Finance Director.
This newly created executive position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the next phase of the organisation’s growth. Working closely with the Board and senior leadership team, you will provide strategic commercial and financial leadership while supporting operational performance across a portfolio of care homes.
The successful candidate will lead the finance function, oversee commercial performance and support future expansion through acquisitions and organic growth. Candidate
We are seeking an experienced commercial leader with a strong understanding of the elderly care sector and the operational challenges of managing multi‑site services.
You will have a proven track record of improving financial performance, increasing occupancy, driving EBITDA growth and implementing robust reporting frameworks. Comfortable operating at Board level, you will possess excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence operational teams while maintaining a hands‑on approach.
Experience supporting acquisitions, integrating new services or leading business transformation projects would be highly advantageous.
Location
The role is commutable from: Newcastle, Gateshead, South Shields, Sunderland, Consett, Durham, Seaham, Hartlepool, Stanhope, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Richmond, Northallerton and Thirsk.
