What you’ll be doing

Slough Borough Council is looking to hire two motivated, confident and community‑minded Tenancy Audit Officers to join our Housing Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands‑on role in ensuring our tenant and property records are accurate, homes are being occupied appropriately, and residents receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and ad‑hoc home visits across Slough to gather vital information about occupancy, tenancy arrangements, household circumstances, and property condition.
- Work closely with Senior Neighbourhood Officers and other teams to identify repairs, safeguarding concerns, domestic abuse or anti‑social behaviour issues, and suspected tenancy fraud.
- Use findings to help ensure homes are safe, services are responsive, and vulnerable residents are supported to sustain their tenancies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Organised, resilient and confident working with a wide range of residents, including vulnerable or challenging circumstances.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly and calmly.
- Confidence to work independently while making sound decisions.
- Experience in housing, tenancy management, customer service or working with vulnerable residents is helpful.
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
