Media, Production and Performing Arts Technical Manager

Full time, 37 hours per week

£33,002 to £38,784 per annum

The Directorate of Faculty Professional Services and Planning at the University of Winchester is seeking a Media, Production & Performing Arts Technical Manager to work within the Faculty Technical Services team.

This role is responsible for managing a team of technical staff who support Media, Production and Performing Arts programmes in their use of technical spaces and specialist equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide line management for a team of technical staff.
  • Deliver technical support and demonstrations for Media, Production and Performing Arts programmes.
  • Lead implementation and adherence to safe working practices in technical spaces.
  • Maintain and upkeep technical spaces and equipment to ensure excellent user experience and a safe environment for students, staff and external users.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team or individuals in a technical setting.
  • Experience working with media, production, and/or performing arts equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in technical spaces.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to problem‑solve in time‑pressured environments.
