Reception Supervisor – Moxy Edinburgh (Full‑time contract)
The Reception Supervisor is a confident, organised and detail‑oriented support for the Moxy Edinburgh team.
Your Role
- Ensuring clear communication with the crew regarding group handovers, managing changes to rooming lists and arrival materials, and maintaining accurate daily records and action plans.
- Completing reservation checks for all individual reservations, updating all third‑party information, and ensuring all relevant alerts and routing are created.
- Ensuring all pre‑paid reservations and virtual cards have been charged.
- Ensuring pre‑arrival emails are sent to relevant guests.
- Scheduling amenities as required.
- Using Marriott Systems to ensure relevant reception tasks are reviewed and completed.
- Being the Bonvoy Connector to ensure standards are delivered and that individual and crew targets are achieved.
- Ensuring all related internal and brand standards are met.
- Providing induction and Opera proficiency training to new crew members.
Expected Contributions
- Driving Marriott Bonvoy loyalty performance against agreed goals.
- Maintaining and helping develop reception service standards through all crew members.
- Delivering periodic refresher training to crew members and supporting Crew Leaders in identifying and proactively addressing proficiency development opportunities within the crew.
- Communicating positively and effectively with all stakeholders: hotel management, Crew Leaders, crew members, on‑property maintenance colleagues, 3rd‑party affiliates and guests.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with all legal, internal and Marriott data reporting and system processes.
- Having a positive mental attitude with the capacity to make quick and decisive decisions with out‑of‑the‑box thinking.
- Displaying creativity and innovation to identify opportunities to improve processes that will enhance team productivity and business results.
- Gaining the confidence and trust of others through consistent demonstration of authenticity and ethical standards.
- Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
- Supporting all aspects of front and back of house operations as required, including food preparation, beverage and food service, and day‑to‑day cleaning tasks.
Skills
- Exceptional communication.
- Attention to detail and care in all you do.
- Proficiency with Opera Express.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Comfortable in complaint management, problem resolution and service recovery situations.

What do you know?
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotels either Front Office, Reservations, Group or Guest‑facing Services.
