About the Role
Ty Trosiad is a 10‑bed supported housing service for people with long‑term, complex needs, including mental health issues, substance misuse and difficulties managing their tenancy. The Scheme Support Officer will ensure the health & safety of the building, monitor visitors, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering advice, support and a listening ear.
Day‑to‑Day Duties
- Engage with and support residents.
- Assist Project Workers in delivering tenancy management and health‑and‑wellbeing workshops.
- Conduct welfare checks.
- Secure the building, perform health & safety checks and maintain awareness of who is on premises.
- Address challenging behaviours.
- Respond to additional needs of residents.
- Support residents in cleaning their rooms and the scheme’s communal areas.
Who We Are Looking For
- Ability to build rapport with vulnerable and disadvantaged people and provide appropriate support and advice.
- Team‑player with strong teamwork skills.
- Self‑motivated with the capacity to prioritise tasks and manage workload independently.
- Relevant experience or transferable skills.
- Alignment with Codi Values and the right attitude.
- IT literate.
- Ability to handle challenging and emergency situations.
- Good communication skills.
Part of your role includes sleep‑in shifts at the scheme. You will be provided with a secluded area including a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen facilities.
