Project Manager – Permanent, Full‑Time (Hybrid)
Based in Redhill, Surrey, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering projects across our growing water, industrial and essential infrastructure portfolio, taking responsibility from contract award and mobilisation through to commissioning, completion and final handover.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead engineering projects through mobilisation, delivery, commissioning, completion and final handover.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, delivery plans, resource requirements and key milestones.
- Coordinate engineering, design, commercial, procurement, construction, commissioning and HSEQ teams, ensuring clear responsibilities and accountability.
- Monitor project performance across programme, cost, scope, risk, change, quality and HSEQ, taking corrective action where required.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and delivery partners, acting as a principal point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Work closely with commercial colleagues to manage forecasts, costs, variations, compensation events, contractual records and the project’s overall commercial position.
- Lead project reviews and progress meetings, ensuring risks, decisions, actions and escalations are clearly recorded and followed through.
- Support tender, pre‑construction and mobilisation activity, including scope review, programme development, resource planning and risk assessment.
- Manage project close‑out, including commissioning, client acceptance, completion records, handover, final‑account support and lessons learned.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience managing engineering, construction or infrastructure projects through to completion and handover.
- A successful track record of delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to agreed contractual and quality requirements.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders.
- Strong project‑planning, reporting, risk‑management and commercial‑management experience.
- Experience monitoring project costs, forecasts, variations, change and overall project performance.
- A practical understanding of construction health and safety responsibilities and project HSEQ requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the confidence to lead meetings, manage expectations and challenge constructively.
- Competence using project‑management systems and Microsoft Office.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to project and client locations as required.
Experience within the water sector, utilities, industrial engineering or regulated infrastructure would be helpful but is not essential. A relevant engineering, construction‑management or project‑management qualification, together with experience of NEC contracts, CDM Regulations, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, would also be beneficial.

We are offering a competitive salary, plus a car allowance. Salary offered will be aligned to the skills and experience demonstrated for this role. Full salary banding is available on request.
