Mental Health Social Worker – North and Mid Devon

Join our friendly and experienced North & Mid Devon Social Care Team and help make a real difference to the lives of people with mental health needs.

We have opportunities based in:

  • Crediton with a focus on supporting people through hospital discharge and helping them regain independence in their communities.
  • Barnstaple and Bideford with a focus on community-based social care.

While each role has a key area of focus, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of settings and support people at different stages of their recovery journey.

You’ll be joining a supportive, stable team that values collaboration, professional development, and person-centred practice.

Main duties of the job

About you

An experienced and qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, BA Hons, MA or equivalent) who is registered to practice with Social Work England (previously HCPC).

You will have completed the Assessed First Year in (post-qualifying) Social Work practice, if appropriate, and can demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development as we are committed to supporting you to look at post-qualifying opportunities during your career with us.

Bringing a comprehensive working knowledge of the issues currently impacting on social care delivery, you will be up-to-date with policy and practice development.

You will need to hold a current full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
