Our international client is currently searching for a Staff Etch Process Development Engineer to be repsonsible for developing, optimising, and supporting dry and wet etch processes for III-V semiconductor and photonic devices. Driving process improvements, new product introduction (NPI), yield enhancement, and manufacturing efficiency in a semiconductor fabrication environment will all be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, qualify, and improve semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Optimise dry and wet etch processes for performance, repeatability, and yield.
- Analyse process and equipment data using SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
- Support NPI, technology transfer, and process scale-up into production.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to improve uptime and reduce defects.
- Lead yield improvement, scrap reduction, cycle time, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product, Equipment, Manufacturing, and R&D teams.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing (photonics, III-V, MEMS, optoelectronics, silicon photonics desirable).
- Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and root cause analysis.
