Pub Manager – Bath

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pub Manager at The Architect in Bath, part of The Empire Hotel located on Orange Grove overlooking Pulteney Bridge. The role involves managing bar products, collaborating with the kitchen team to create seasonal menus, and overseeing the pub’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pub team and drive daily operations independently.
• Design, plan and host events, weddings, corporate functions and private gatherings.
• Manage bar products and beverage selection, ensuring high quality and profitability.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop and refine menus.
• Maintain the pub’s reputation and build a loyal local customer base.
• Train, inspire and develop staff, fostering a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Seasoned and dynamic leader with passion for hospitality.
• Experience as a Pub Manager, General Manager or similar role in a premium, food‑led establishment.
• Commercially and financially astute, able to drive profitability and manage budgets.
• Strong knowledge of food and drink, with genuine passion for beer and wine.
• Excellent communication, organisational and team‑development skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary up to £71,000 per year, plus profit share bonus paid monthly.
