Location: Gillingham
Job Description:

At Camfil, we are not just air filter manufacturers; we are solution creators, providing products and services aimed at making Clean Air a Human Right. With a global footprint spanning 30 sites, including 2 UK locations, we’ve built a legacy of excellence and reliability. Across the world, our 6000 strong team is passionate about pushing boundaries, creating cutting‑edge products, and shaping the future.

Our Mission

We envision a world where Clean Air is a Human Right, and where quality and craftsmanship converge seamlessly. Our mission is to deliver solutions that combine clean air with energy efficiency in a sustainable and profitable way.

Project Manager Role Overview

Based at our offices in Haslingden, Lancashire, with international travel required, the Project Manager will play a key role in developing robust execution strategies for major upcoming initiatives. You will lead the creation of end‑to‑end delivery approaches — shaping plans, aligning stakeholders, and defining operational readiness to support strategic bids and future programmes of work. As projects are secured, you will transition into leading full delivery, driving planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution. You will also integrate into the wider project delivery team, contributing to other projects and supporting the continued growth of our strategic portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a major capital project from concept through to operational handover.
  • Develop a full operational solution for the project, including workflows, resource models, and implementation strategies.
  • Engage with internal teams, external partners, and international stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Travel overseas to sister sites, suppliers, and operational teams to validate requirements and shape the delivery plan.
  • Identify risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain transparent reporting to the Head of Projects.
  • Establish project costs, track progress against milestones, and ensure delivery within agreed parameters.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering large‑scale engineering or production‑focused projects.
  • Background in mechanical engineering, production engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, industrial processes, or engineered systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder groups, including international partners.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project delivery function.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected market leader and play a key role in shaping the future of clean air solutions across the UK. If you are interested in joining an established global brand, we’d love to hear from you!
