Technical Assistant

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to assist with technical delivery of DCC’s cultural programmes including productions, festivals, events and technical delivery at the Light. This includes shows at cultural venues (Gala Durham, Empire Consett & Bishop Auckland Town Hall) and providing technical support for events across the county.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical delivery of DCC’s cultural programmes including productions, festivals, events and technical delivery at the Light.
• Support technical delivery at cultural venues: Gala Durham, Empire Consett & Bishop Auckland Town Hall.
• Provide technical support for events across the county.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a relevant area.
• First Aid qualification or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
• Experience of writing risk assessments and method statements.
• Experience of maintaining a safe working environment.
• Experience of working with contractors, customers and other third parties from a wide range of backgrounds.
