Facilities Operative – Wallingford
The Facilities Operative is responsible for supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the site, ensuring that facilities, equipment and external areas are safe, clean and fully operational.
Main Duties:
- Carry out general maintenance tasks across the site including:
- Basic repairs
- Equipment maintenance
- Upkeep of buildings and external areas
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Respond to reactive maintenance issues as directed.
- Assist with monitoring of site services and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Support regular safety checks, including identifying hazards and reporting issues.
- Assist with waste management and maintaining site cleanliness.
- Support contractor activities when required.
Requirements
- Experience in a maintenance or hands-on environment.
- Basic understanding of health & safety practices.
- Practical skills in general maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of manual tasks (lifting, bending, etc.).
- Full clean Driving License
