Temporary Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

YGG Cwmllynfell – 2 Bryn Road, Cwmllynfell, Swanse, SA9 2FL

To commence as soon as possible, providing completion of the relevant checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the dining hall, playground, and inside the school building during wet weather.
• Ensure the safety, welfare, and good conduct of pupils during the school’s lunchtime break.
• Assist children with their lunch and engage them in playground and indoor games.
• Communicate effectively, listening to and talking with children in a happy, caring, and nurturing school environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good communication skills and enjoyment of listening and talking to children.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; must pass an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check and an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
• Welsh language desirable; applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
• Commitment to safeguarding and protecting children and young people, in accordance with the practices and procedures of the School / Local Authority.
