Senior Assistant Company Secretary

SSQ is partnering with a leading insurance company to recruit a Senior Company Secretary Assistant. This is an opportunity for a fully qualified Company Secretary Assistant with 3-6 years of experience to join a busy Secretarial team, supporting the governance framework of an international insurance group.

This position will manage end-to-end committee support and be involved in the organisations sustainability protocol globally. Suited to someone with a variety of experience and a genuine interest in ESG.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of Board and Committee meetings, including preparing agendas, collating papers, managing calendars and maintaining action logs.
  • Work with the Company Secretary on all sustainability projects across the business
  • Assist with statutory and regulatory filings
  • Maintain accurate company records, registers, and KYC documentation.
  • Attend board and committee meetings alongside the Company Secretary or Assistant Company Secretaries
  • Support internal governance processes, policy alignment, and onboarding of new agency partners.
  • Assist with wider legal and corporate governance projects as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3-6 years’ experience in a company secretarial position.
  • Fully qualified Company secretary via the Corporate Governance Institute
  • Experience within financial services is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience working on KYC compliance, Companies House, Diligent Entities, Entity governance, AGMs and Annual reports
  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Clear, confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
