Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology organization, playing a key role on an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers trusted, market‑leading technology products securely, stably, and at scale.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and direction to support business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high‑quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  • Serve as a function‑wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.
  • Advocate firm‑wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle within the engineering community.
  • Influence peers and project decision‑makers to consider leading‑edge technologies.
  • Contribute to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Set and scale operating practices for enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation across multiple teams to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes; establish measurable expectations and ensure consistent validation, security, resiliency, and reuse of proven patterns.
  • Govern and adopt approved AI‑assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, establishing measurable validation standards and promoting reuse of proven patterns within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
  • Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI‑assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize automation value at scale.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming language(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with deep expertise in at least one technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight.
  • Practical cloud‑native experience.
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • Experience leading multi‑team adoption of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted development and delivery tools, including defining governance, measuring outcomes, and ensuring secure handling of sensitive inputs/outputs.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity considerations, resiliency/security implications, and control expectations; ability to coach managers and influence leaders on safe scaling patterns.
  • Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted software development tools within the work environment, setting team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
