The company aims to provide an environment where people can build rewarding, long-term careers in beer and hospitality.Role Description The Senior Brewer is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the brewing process, including recipe development, brewing, cellaring, packaging, and quality control to ensure consistent, high-quality beer. The Senior Brewer will manage production schedules, monitor fermentation, maintain accurate brewing records, and coordinate with the wider operations and pub teams to meet demand. Day-to-day tasks include supervising brewery staff, ensuring safe and efficient use of equipment, implementing and maintaining cleaning and sanitation procedures, and monitoring stock levels of raw materials. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting training and development of junior brewers, and representing the brewery at events, tastings, and trade activities when needed.Qualifications

  • Strong practical brewing experience in a commercial craft brewery, including mash, boil, fermentation, and packaging operations.
  • Knowledge of brewing science, beer styles, and quality control practices, with the ability to troubleshoot process and product issues.
  • Experience overseeing production planning, workflow management, and brewery operations to meet volume and quality targets.
  • Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety, including familiarity with health and safety regulations in brewery environments.
  • Ability to lead, train, and support brewery team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working culture.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
  • Comfort with physically demanding work, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in a production environment.
  • Relevant brewing qualifications (e.g., IBD, brewing science degree, or equivalent professional certification) are highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with pubs or hospitality venues and an enthusiasm for craft beer and the wider beer community.
