The Opportunity

Due to recent growth, OpenDror is looking for an Analyst to work on client engagements spanning business transformation, change initiatives, business model development, strategy, leadership, and special projects.

This role is ideal for someone considering a career in management consulting. Rather than supporting large corporations, you will work closely with founders, leaders, and teams in small and medium sized businesses, gaining exposure to strategic decisions, organisational challenges, and transformation projects that junior consultants would rarely see.

  • Contract: Internship initially, leading to permanent (part-time options available).
  • Remuneration: £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience.
  • Location: Head office in Hove.
  • Working: 1-3 days per week in the office, or on client site as required.

The Role

This is a hands-on role with a steep learning curve. Following a short onboarding process and completion of confidentiality requirements, you will be introduced to active client projects and expected to begin contributing immediately.

  • Review and synthesise information, analyse business challenges and develop insights and recommendations
  • Build presentations and create client materials
  • Support a range of transformation, change, and growth projects.
  • Work closely with the founder as a thinking partner.
  • At times you will be given the freedom to determine the best approach to a problem.
  • At other times, particularly early on, you will be given specific frameworks, methodologies, and instructions to follow.
  • The role requires someone who can think independently while also being coachable and comfortable receiving direction.
  • There will be exposure to networking, relationship building and business development.
  • Managing systems like monday.com and CRM, customising these systems to suit our needs.

The Person

  • A strong degree, typically 2:1 or above, in Philosophy, Economics, Law, Finance, Accountancy, PPE, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similarly rigorous discipline.
  • Excellent written communication and summarisation skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, and proactive to bring ideas to the table.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.
  • The ability to absorb, process, and synthesise large amounts of information accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • People person with high emotional intelligence.
  • Confidence working with spreadsheets and presentation software.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and complex problems.
  • Curiosity about business, organisations, leadership, and change.
