HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Overview

Our client based in Banbury is looking for a HGV Class 1 driver to join their team assisting customers with the safe transit of their goods to businesses.

Salary and Hours

Pay rate: £16.00 – £36.00 per hour, including bonuses. Hours of work are generally 52 hours per week (including weekends) across various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of drivers and porters to ensure the safe transit of personal items to various destinations.
• Deal with customers face to face and over the telephone.
• Ensure heavy items are lifted correctly and safely.
• Perform safe manual handling of goods, on and off the vehicle.
• Work nights away and sometimes abroad, depending on the move.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 licence with no more than 6 points on the licence.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Class 1 driver.
• Digital tachograph card and CPC qualification.
• Self‑motivated team player with good communication skills.
• Able to complete lifting of heavy materials.
• Within a commutable distance of Banbury.
