This is a 12‑month contract, working remotely or hybrid from either Farnborough or Whiteley. You’ll be joining a collaborative finance function, reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, and supported by an experienced team.
Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating a remote AP and Expense team
- Setting high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all AP and expense activities
- Ensuring supplier payments and employee expenses are processed correctly and on time
- Tracking, reporting, and resolving exceptions and errors
- Driving improvements in UK P2P processes and maintaining up‑to‑date procedures
- Overseeing invoice entry, audits, reconciliations, and supplier queries
- Supporting month‑end tasks and maintaining business confidentiality
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar finance or AP role (such as AP Manager, Accounts Payable Supervisor, Finance Operations Lead)
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a remote team
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
- Confident stakeholder and supplier engagement skills
- Good understanding of VAT, tax document rules, and basic accounting principles (double entry, ledgers)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting/analytic tools are desirable
- An accounting qualification (part qualified or qualified by experience) is a plus
