Security Officer

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer in Blyrh to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff and visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned and ad‑hoc site patrols, and other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Work 42 hours per week on a 4 on / 4 off / 4 on nights rota.
• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carry out regular patrols and record them in accordance with Corps and customer requirements.
• Ensure all visitors and contractors are correctly briefed, signed in and out, and that deliveries are recorded following site quality procedures.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out‑of‑hours security provision when applicable.
• Comply with waste management procedures and complete required documentation such as daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records, and any site‑specific reports.
• Follow emergency escalation and communication procedures with site management, Corps colleagues, and emergency services.
• Continuously apply SIA skills, maintain a high level of professionalism, and keep the SIA licence displayed at all times.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Front‑Line licence – essential.
• Valid SIA CCTV licence – desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel).
• Capable of achieving vetting to BS7858 standards.
• Up‑to‑date training records, including first aid and fire marshal training in compliance with legislative guidelines.
