nAbout the Rolen

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Solicitor or Fee Earner with 1–5 years' PQE to join our well-regarded family law team based in Redcar. The ideal candidate will hold the necessary accreditation to act as a Supervisor under a Family Legal Aid contract, and will be confident managing a mixed caseload of Public and Private Family Law matters, including Legal Aid work.

nResponsibilitiesn

    n

  • Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, including:n
      n

    • Care proceedings
    • n

    • Child arrangement orders
    • n

    • Domestic violence injunctions
    • n

    • Divorce and separation
    • n

    • Financial remedies
    • n

    n

  • n

  • Undertake Legal Aid funded work in line with contractual obligations.
  • n

  • Meet the compliance and supervisory standards required under the Family Legal Aid contract.
  • n

  • Represent clients in court and attend advocacy when required.
  • n

  • Supervise and support junior fee earners and paralegals where necessary.
  • n

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law, procedures, and Legal Aid guidelines.
  • n

  • Provide empathetic, clear, and professional legal advice to clients.
  • n

nRequirementsn

    n

  • Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent Fee Earner) with 1–5 years' post-qualification experience in family law.
  • n

  • Supervisor status for Family Legal Aid work is essential.
  • n

  • Experience in both Private and Public Law family matters, including Legal Aid funded cases.
  • n

  • Advocacy experience is desirable.
  • n

  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • n

  • Able to work independently and manage a busy caseload efficiently.
  • n
